Brief description

Qualtrics is an online survey program that provides a safe, simple, but very rich environment for the creation of online questionnaires. It provides extensive options for creating various question types, randomizing questionnaire selection, processing multimedia in questionnaires and creating adaptive questions (where the questions a user is asked depend on his or her answers to previous questions).

Availability

VU Amsterdam has a license to use Qualtrics. Staff members and students wishing to use online questionnaires for their research can work with the program at no extra cost by creating an account through the website https://vuamsterdam.eu.qualtrics.com/.

To register:
Use your VU email-address, enter a Password of your choice and repeat the same password under Re-Type Password
Warning: DO NOT user the same password as your VUnetID password!
Enter your First Name and Last Name
Do not fill in any Codes
Click on Finish
Verify your account
A verification e-mail will be sent to your VU email address. Open the e-mail and click on the link: Please click here to confirm your request.

Further remarks for students

Using a digital survey does not mean you should not develop a methodologically sound questionnaire. Always consult your teacher before you create the actual questionnaire in Qualtrics.
