NoteTab

Brief description

NoteTab is a text editor with some useful extra features, such as extended search and replace queries (where so-called regular expressions [Dutch: reguliere expressies] can be used), character, word and word frequency counting in one or more texts, removing HTML and other code from web pages, and the ability to work with very large files. The program can be used to:

• quickly search (collections of) text files;
• edit annotations in text corpora or source texts;
• prepare various types of documents before they are included in a text collection or text corpus;
• make (simple) annotations in text corpora or source texts;

The program has a good built-in help function.

Availability

NoteTab is not available on VU PCs. The program NotePad Light can be downloaded free for personal use.
