Archaeological fieldwork

In archaeological research, fieldwork is an important strategy for collecting data on site. Fieldwork activities are strongly supported by digital techniques, which will be described in a separate workbench section about digital archaeology (in preparation).

For now, we refer to the unpublished chapter Digitally assisted surface survey by Andrew Bevin (2002) and the project website Developing Digital Survey Techniques for Archaeology of The University of Nottingham.
