Analysis of structured data

Structured data are data which are organized and stored according to a predefined format. Structured data sets may be explored and analysed with various analysis techniques.

In our faculty the following types of structured data analysis are prevalent:

• statistical analysis;
• network analysis, with which relationships and connections within a dataset are explored;
• geospatial and temporal analysis, with which research data are combined with spatial information (and temporal information, if relevant).
